Pup and Cat Pendants

This drawing, from earlier this year, was a to-scale representation of proposed color flash glass pendants. Media: sand-blasted glass, hung by ribbon or yarn.
Though shelved, at present, the series remains possible and alive.

The drawing was done on tan construction paper, with ebony pencil.

Judas Preciate

With a mere two Judas Priest submissions on Album Tacos,
(now up for a Urlesque award [read more here]),
and both of them lampoons of British Steel [1980], I whipped up a little

Turbo Love and Ram it Down,
for, really, is there a better plan for your taco? ram it down.

also ... on a note of neighborhood pride,
I resented the white-bread tacos
in a vast majority of the submissions
so I photoshopped a very local, true, yummy

Artists Supporting Artists

The above was my Threadless submission for Marwen Foundation's Artists Supporting Artists t-shirt campaign. A finalist but not the winner, it was great fun to do.
A thousand thank yous to Lily and Alana.

FLAT 6

FLAT 6 was a big success and the folks at Floor Length And Tux will soon hold their seventh.
This is the first study I drew for the Infinity Room themed pepper. More photos and links are on their way, here in September.

Web Site is Now Up & Running

well, it has been a while
but
JonBolloDotCom
is up and running and full of more stuff than
ever

the animated three-d views of sculpture got my bandwidths in serious trouble before, so I decided it is better to be stuffed than lively

Haiti, Flo, Sue, Larks, Hope

Contribute and Own ART and BAKED GOODS just go here.... Last week, my friend Flo passed on during Haiti's devastating earthquake. There is a wonderful tribute to him on his brother's blog. Maybe you have contributed, maybe you're going to do it again, but Alex Polotsky, fellow Chicago artist, is running a raffle whereby you can come away with an original drawing, a pile baked goods, a photo print, just for chiming in. If you can, please take the time. Flo was awesome and I cannot imagine how many other awesome people we lost last week. My friend Sue, who was down there doing the same good work narrowly escaped.
